Kathy Seitz Watson has spent her career in the profession of public accounting, assisting closely held business and individuals with financial, tax and retirement planning.  She graduated from Mentor High School, and The Ohio State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Administrative Science in Accounting degree.  She became a  Certified Public Accountant on June 23, 1975. She worked for Coopers and Lybrand as an auditor (A “Big 8” firm at the time),  acquiring her own firm in Beachwood, Ohio at age 28.

In 1998 she merged Seitz, Kate and Medve, Inc. into CBIZ Tax, Accounting and Advisory Services. She became the Managing Director of the Cleveland, Ohio office, one of only two female Managing Directors throughout the United States. She retired from CBIZ in 2012.

Unable to stay retired, she joined Stanley Frankel and Ronald Schickler in 2014, forming Frankel, Schickler & Seitz, LLP. Thus, she continues to provide advisory services for closely held business, specializing in estate and retirement planning and taxation.

Kathy serves as Treasurer and member of the Finance and Investment committees of the Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland, Ohio and as chairperson of the Audit Committee and Board Member of the Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPS’s.

Kathy’s largest clients represent the construction, retail and medical industries.

STANLEY P. FRANKEL, CPA - Stanley@fsscpas.tax

Stan Frankel is a lifetime member of the Cleveland community, having attended Shaker Heights High School.  He graduated from Kent State University 1961 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1972, being admitted as a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s in 1973.

Stan specializes in consulting and preparation of tax returns for businesses and individuals. He has over 300 clients who rely on him annually for proper presentation of their financial information to the IRS and state and local governments. As state and local taxation has become a bigger part of the entire income tax picture, Stan has increased his knowledge to provide in- depth coverage in this area. He represents clients for audit and appeal in all areas.

Stan is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. He a member of the tax review board in the municipality of Orange Village. The tax review board hears and resolves public tax complaints from its residents.

RONALD S. SCHICKLER, CPA, JD - Ron@fsscpas.tax

Ron Schickler grew up on Cleveland’s east side, attending Brush High School.  He attended Kent State Unviersity, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982. He attended Cleveland State University’s Cleveland Marshall Law School, graduating in 1991 and was admitted to the practice of law by the Ohio Supreme Court on November 18, 1991.

Ron brings the expertise of both accounting and law to the clients he serves. He fulfills a dual role in that he can incorporate a business, advise the owners on their business plan and operating structure, write a buy-sell agreement, create a lease and/or compensation contract, while offering accounting and tax advisory services thoughout the life cycle of their business. Thus, from cradle to grave, his clients have an advisor on whom they can rely for business acumen.

Ron is a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s, the American Institute of CPA’s and the Ohio Bar Association.
